In accordance with the mission and goals of the School of Engineering Management, where the graduate academic study program Project Management and Industry 4.0 is conducted, two main purposes of implementing the aforementioned study program can be distinguished:
The specific and most significant purpose of implementing the study program is to create qualified managers for efficient project management in the emerging circumstances of Industry 4.0 within the field of industrial engineering and engineering management. They will be qualified to independently and originally manage large and complex projects, such as development projects, based on engineering principles.
The graduate academic study program Project Management and Industry 4.0 aims to create competent project management experts who possess the knowledge and skills to apply modern project management methods based on new technologies.
They will be qualified to independently, originally, and on engineering principles plan, organize, manage, control, and implement complex development projects under the emerging circumstances of Industry 4.0. By applying a methodology based on relevant scientific knowledge and supported by information and communication technologies, the certainty of a positive outcome will be increased and risks reduced, which will impact resource expenditure and, consequently, enterprise development. This defined objective of the study program is part of fulfilling the mission of the Faculty of Engineering Management.
The expected learning outcomes imply the improvement and deepening of methodological and general-theoretical knowledge acquired during previous education, the acquisition of skills and abilities for the independent management of complex and large-scale projects using information and communication technologies, as well as qualifying students to conceptualize, design, and apply the acquired knowledge based on an understanding of technical and technological processes, alongside economic integrations in the new 4.0 environment. By mastering this study program, students acquire the academic title of Master Engineer in Management (abbreviated as M.Eng.Man.).
