Museums for 10

The event Museums for 10, will be held from 12 to 18 May 2021 and includes the International Museum Day, European Museum Night and National Museum Week.

During the seven days of the program in more than 100 museums and related cultural institutions, in more than 50 cities, numerous contents were prepared for visitors – exhibitions, additional programs with authorial and professional guides, interactive workshops for children and adults, lectures, film screenings, plays and performances, book promotions, concerts and other activities.

This year’s theme – The Future of Museums: New Ideas, New Practices focuses on new value creation practices, new business models for cultural institutions and innovative solutions to the social, economic and environmental challenges.

The Museums for 10 is a national museum initiative coordinated by the National Committee of ICOM Serbia.

This largest museum initiative in Serbia so far is unique in the European cultural space and was designed with the idea of ​​closer cooperation of museums in Serbia with the goal of more efficient work, greater visibility and stronger connections with the local community. The result is more intensive interaction with the audience and a larger visit, as well as rich and diverse programs that enrich the cultural and tourist offer of Serbia.
