Victory Day – May 9th 2022

Victory Day over fascism, May 9, 2022, will be held with an honorary march “Besmrtni puk” in the center of Belgrade.

In addition to the walk in Belgrade, the ” Besmrtni puk” will be organized in Zaječar and Kikinda, while the planes of the Serbian Army will fly over 17 cities.

In Novi Sad, on Freedom Square the Festival of Europe will be held, followed by the concert “We are better together”, from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

Victory Day is celebrated on May 9 in memory of the day when Nazi Germany signed its capitulation in World War II in 1945. Also, Europe Day, May 9, was established as a day of remembrance for the declaration of the French Minister of Foreign Affairs, Robert Schuman, from 1950, which is considered the first official step in the creation of the EU.
