International Ballet Competition *𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐎 Held in Sarajevo

The third round of the International Ballet Competition *𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐎 and “Gala evening” were held on the stage of the Youth Theater in Sarajevo on September 12.

During the final evening of the Competition, artists from Serbia and China presented themselves in different categories. The expert jury, composed of eminent professors from Serbia and China, consisted of Prof. Aleksandar Ilić, Nataša Hajdarević, Samir Mirvić, Professor of Shanghai Normal University Miao Xiaolong and Professor of Jingdezhen University Hao Huili.

The organizers of the competition are partners from the People’s Republic of China Shanghai Normal University, Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts, Jingdezhen Vocational University of Art, Ningbo School of Foreign Affairs and the Belgrade Dance Institute and the School of Engineering Management from Serbia.

*𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐎, meaning “hello” in Serbian and Italian and sharing the pronunciation of the Chinese character “桥” (bridge), *𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐎 is an international dance competition that celebrates connection and exchange. It is the first competition jointly organized by official Chinese and European cultural organizations and music entities and convened in China and Europe with the mission of bringing together professional and amateur young dancers in China and Europe to exchange arts and establish connections.
