Conference “Prevention and Challenges in the Security System”
Organized by the School of Engineering Management, a National Conference with the topic “Prevention and Challenges in the Security System” is being held today.
The conference was opened by Prof. Dr. Darija Kisić-Tepavčević, Minister of Labor, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs and Prof. Dr. Vladimir Tomasevic, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Management, and introductory speeches were given by Tatjana Bojanić, Director of the Institute for Standardization of Serbia, Nebojša Miletić, Member of the Presidency of the Union of Employers of Serbia, Duško Vuković, Vice President of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Serbia, Čedanka Andrić, President UGS Nezavisnost.
At the Conference, issues are discussed, first of all, in the field of safety and health at work, ie the Draft Law on Safety and Health at Work. The new law is passed after 16 years and the goal is to further approximate the regulations and practices of the EU, to resolve issues in this area that have proven to be controversial in practice.
Also, in the meantime, new regulations in the field of labor were passed (Law on Agency Employment, Law on Seasonal Employment, Law on Dual Education, Law on Employment of Foreigners, Law on Product Safety) to which this Law must be adjusted, and new circumstances such as the COVID-19 virus need to be addressed (work from home, remotely).
The Conference will also focus on issues in the field of fire protection and emergency situations.
The aim of the Conference is to reduce injuries at work and occupational diseases.
