Internet Security Risks

Аre we informed about the security risks of using the Internet and who is responsible for our online security? The Registry of the National Internet Domain of Serbia (RNIDS) sought answers to these and many other questions through a survey conducted in early 2022 with the support of the National CERT of the Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services (RATEL).

The most of respondents claim that they are more or less familiar with security risks, only 4.6% of them stated they know nothing about viruses, 2.7% know nothing about fraud, and 4.9% about data theft. However, as many as 60% of respondents say they have been infected with a virus or other malware at least once, and 19.7% of Internet users admitted to being “caught” at least once and clicking on a link they received in an email from an unknown person.
