Conference Empowering Women Abroad
Prof. Jelena Ilić, Vice Dean for International Cooperation and Prof. Dr. Tatjana Ilić-Kosanović, Vice Dean for Research, are participating today in the online conference “Empowerment of Women Abroad” organized by Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe and Dress for Success Serbia in cooperation with the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Belgrade.
The conference aims to provide guidelines and actions aimed at tangible results for the empowerment of women in the Western Balkans and to improve the equal participation of women and men in the social, political, economic and cultural sectors.
The conference program draws on the Principles for the Empowerment of Women, a joint initiative of the United Nations Global Compact and UN Women, as well as the 2030 Agenda and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Speakers at the conference are from the government, civil and business sectors who are working together to empower the women leaders of tomorrow, without borders.
The conference was organized within Help’s regional program “Support to Socio-Economic Stability in the Western Balkans 2019-2020”, which is funded through German development cooperation.
