TreeNNOVA: From Nature to Business

It is an intensive 4-day course called „TreeNNOVA: From Nature to Business„ taking place from 2-5 December in Madrid.

The approach of this course is to engage people into the development of initiatives based on the sustainable use of forest and natural products and services, as a way to combat climate change.

Workshop Agenda

During the first two days of workshop, our experts will introduce you to the potential of innovation and entrepreneurship applied to forestry, markets and ecosystem services (MEEBs). During day 3 you will have the opportunity to learn and apply strategic management tools from top-tier professionals and to take your project to a new level and prepare your pitch. Finally, day 4 is a full session intended to present your business idea, networking with other entrepreneurs or professionals in the field, and inspire you through a talk session on innovation drivers for MEEB businesses like digital transformation or Internet of Things.

Who can take part?

• Graduate and PhD students interested in forestry and environmental entrepreneurship or who want to start up a sustainable business idea
• Young start-ups and entrepreneurs who want to give their business a boost
• Professionals in the Market and Economics of Ecosystem Services

Participants fee

150€ (the course fee includes your participation for the 4 days of lectures and workshops and networking with experts and coaches, all materials needed as well as food and drinks during the workshops)

Background

The workshop is a collaboration between EIT Climate-KIC and the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Climate-KIC is Europe’s largest public-private innovation partnership, working together to address the challenge of climate change. It drives innovation in climate change through creative partnerships large and small, local and global, between the private, public and academic sectors. All Climate-KIC partners bring their industry experience to the community and are connected through the centres across Europe.
